We Fell into the Business....

The ice cream truck industry was long overdue for a makeover when dessert enthusiast Felecia Hatcher fell flat on her face while attempting to chase an ice cream truck in heels. Descending to the ground she came up with the idea of a hip ice cream truck company (she was on the ground for a long time)

Her sweet dreams turned into reality in 2008 when she and her husband, Derick Pearson, got the pink slip from their marketing jobs with Nintendo, which led Felecia to pursue her wacky dream of starting a hip ice cream truck company. The duo along with partner Joe Lowe had humble beginning buying 2 tricycle carts, off the luxury shopping website Craigslist and began peddling their way to sweet success.

Today the boutique gourmet pop company offers vintage carts for catering events as well as custom and private labling manufacturing for major corporations. Feverish Pops offers exciting handcrafted flavors, using organic and natural ingredients sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice. Some of their top flavors include Pineapple Basil, Mango, Strawberry Balsamic, and Chocolate Salted Coconut, and also a line of spiked pops with flavors like Mango Bourbon, Watermelon Ginger Vodka,  and Strawberry Mojito.

The company has created a buzz with clients like Paypal, Google, Forever 21, Live Nation, 32 Degrees, TRUMP, JCrew, Tom Cruise, BB&T Bank, Universal Music, Cirque de Soleil, Playboy, Cox Radio, Bacardi and the US Census Bureau. The company has been featured on the Cooking Channel, NBC Today Show, Modern Luxury Magazine, FOX/Deco Drive, NBCMiami, Miami Herald, Entrepreneur.com, Inc.com, Daily Candy, Boston Globe, Budget Travel Magazine, Black Enterprise and Air Tran Magazine as well as their product being named one of the Top Popsicles by MSN.com.

Ice Cream Makes Life Sweeter

Feverish has given the ice cream industry an Ice Cream Social Life.  We promote sustainability through building innovative communities and donate a portion of each popsicle we sell to local organizations through our PopPreneurs outreach program. The tour brings the owners into local classrooms to work with students on high school completion, technology, college prep and decreasing the youth unemployment epidemic through entrepreneurship training and a youth entrepreneurship partnership.  One of those partnerships is with Mount Olive in Broward where  kids age 11-18 run their own Feverish cart and learn how to start and run their own business and create jobs for their peers. We also donate to youth tech and STEM programs and Kiva, an organization that provides micro-lending loans to women entrepreneurs in 3rd world countries. Meet the Chief Popsicles
Youth unemployment is at a staggering 31% in South Florida and as a result we are creating a generation of Unemployable teens that don’t gain the real world skills that they would usually gain from part time and summer jobs. We believe the best way to tackle this problem is to empower teens to start their own “profits first” business and in turn create jobs for themselves and their peers. We would love to form a partnership to provide real world entrepreneurship training using what we know best....popsicles!

-Ice Cream Carts -Urban Farming Partnership -Popsicle Production -OCT (On the Cart Training) Entrepreneurship Training
Fever Pops are exciting and healthy. Our cool carts are social media driven and are a perfect business opportunity for teens to engage their families, friends and community members to grow their business and also learn about STEM in a practical way.

How the partnership works
Students get a Fever Pops Cart, and popsicles on consignment and we provide ongoing training and support to teens in your program interested in food production, hospitality, sales, marketing or entrepreneurship to run the cart and handle daily operations. The most important part is that students keep all profits!
