I bought this book so my nephew could look for scholarship ideas. My nephew was so impressed as he followed the principles outlined in this book. He applied for several scholarships and he was able to be interviewed for 5 out of 6. One of the interviews he was offered a 4 year scholarship. He also received 3 other small scholarships. If you are looking for a scholarship-This is a must read book. You must also follow the principles outlined in the book. Excellent!

I had the opportunity to meet this author at the Big XII Conference on Black Student Government in Norman, Oklahoma. She was a dramatic speaker and definitely left the students a lot to think about. After the luncheon, I talked with her personally and purchased this book. During my Sunday reflection time, I decided to pick it up and glance at it...I became so enthralled I finished it...this is what I thought...
This is a fun guide to finding scholarships for college. I love the fact that this book focuses on the average student that may have gotten a late start in the scholarship game. Hatcher easily relates to students and gives the 411 on everything you need to know. Her scholarship story is extraordinary while the remaining chapters will help CstudentsROCK! (which is her website). Application do's and don'ts, write a freak'n awesome essay and how to become an interview rockstar are among my favorite chapters. There are several other scholarship stories shared and tons of websites to search. I applaud Hatcher for compiling a readable and useable book on scholarships that all students should read in these troubled economic times.
