Launch a Start-Up in a Day/Weekend Trainings
Code Fever partners up with youth organizations to hold LASUD weekend trainings. Each student selected for the program will attend one of these trainings, which includes instruction in ideation, wireframing, launching a start up, HTML, CSS and Javascript, and entrepreneurship.
Free breakfast and lunch is provided.
In-School & Summer Bootcamp
Students accepted to participate in a 6-8 week intensive training will learn the advanced programming languages and entrepreneurial training to build a functioning prototype or beta launch their idea by the end of the program.
Parent Training
A technology 101 panel and hands on workshops for parents to get them engaged, introduce them to code, close the generational gap, and equip them with the tools to keep the interest and conversation going at home.
Demo Days / Pitch Competitions
Students will learn through a 2 day boot camp how to create the perfect pitch and product demo. They will then have the opportunity to pitch their concepts to judges for prizes and/or potential investment opportunities.
We also co-host Community Tech, Innovation and Diversity inclusion events.
Check out BlackTechWeek.com more information about our community tech events.
Alumni Network
Once students have completed any of our programs they become part of the Code Fever Alumni Network. CF alumni will have the opportunity to then apply their learning through real-world paid technical consulting projects with locally-owned businesses and non-profits. Alumni also receive virtual mentoring, assistance with finding internships, and job placement.
